Part 01

General rules

These rules apply to every sport and market on the exchange. Sport and market rules further down add to them.

Results

  • Every market is settled on the official result of the event, as published by the competition organiser or governing body and confirmed by our results service.
  • Results are normally posted within minutes of a market being decided. Session and line markets settle as soon as their session is complete; match markets after the match.
  • Questions about a result or a price must reach Support within 7 days of the event. Queries after that are not reviewed.

When a bet is void

A void bet is cancelled: nothing is won or lost and any stake or liability held for it comes back to your balance. A bet is void when:

  • the market cannot be decided under its rules (for example the match is abandoned before the market’s result is known, or the required number of overs is not bowled);
  • it was struck after the result of that market was already known — for example if a market stayed open by technical error after the result;
  • it was matched at an obviously wrong price — a price clearly out of line with the market at that moment;
  • it was placed on a racing non-runner (see Horse and greyhound racing);
  • the event is postponed or rescheduled before it starts, unless the market’s own rules say otherwise.
A market already decided before an abandonment stands. Example: a 6-over session completed before rain stopped play is settled on its result.

Suspensions

  • Markets are suspended during key moments — a wicket, goal, review, ball in play — and whenever the price feed is interrupted. No bets are accepted while a market or line is suspended.
  • If a market is suspended by a technical fault and does not reopen, bets already matched stand and are settled on the official result.

Accepted bets

  • A bet stands once it is accepted and shown in My bets. It cannot be cancelled, but it can be hedged (see the guide).
  • In-play bets pass a short delay before they are accepted and are matched only at the price you tapped or better.
  • Bets on the wrong market or selection by mistake are not reversed.
  • Each market shows its minimum and maximum. The maximum caps what you can lose: the stake on a back or YES bet, the liability on a lay or NO bet. Bookmaker lay bets are also limited to the amount offered at the price.

Fair play

  • We may void bets and suspend accounts found to be illegitimate — including multiple accounts, shared or bulk betting from the same or linked devices and IP addresses, the use of bots or automated tools, and exploitation of pricing errors or delayed data. In such cases only winning bets are voided.
  • Bets on events where there is evidence of match-fixing or manipulation by participants may be voided.
  • You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your password secret.

Live data and streams

Scores, timers, trackers and video come from third-party feeds and may be delayed or inaccurate; other customers may see faster data. If you bet on the basis of this data, you do so at your own risk. We accept no liability for losses caused by delayed or incorrect live data.

Part 02

Cricket — Match Odds and Bookmaker

  • Match Odds and Bookmaker markets are settled on the official match result, including any Super Over or other tie-breaker used by the competition.
  • If a match is abandoned or declared “no result”, match bets are void. If the result is decided by the DLS method, that result stands.
  • If a match, series or league is postponed or rescheduled before a ball is bowled, all its bets are void. If play has started and continues on a reserve day, bets stand.
  • If a trophy or series is shared, the bets on its winner are void. Where teams finish level on points, the official points table decides.
  • Super Over bookmaker: if scores are level after a Super Over, the market carries on to the next Super Over until there is a winner.

Over-comparison bookmaker markets

  • Markets that compare both teams after a fixed number of overs (for example 25 overs in an ODI, 10 overs in a T20) are won by the team with more runs at that point. Level scores go to the team with fewer wickets lost, then the team with more boundaries; if all are level the market is a no-result and void.
  • Over-by-over bookmaker markets need the over to be completed, unless a team is bowled out. If a chase ends part-way through an over, markets for overs not started are void.
Part 03

Cricket — Fancy and sessions

Fancy markets are YES / NO lines on runs, wickets and other match events. YES wins when the result is at or above the line; NO wins when it is below.

All fancy markets

  • Penalty runs count in every fancy and line market.
  • A tied match does not affect fancy markets: they are settled on their own results.
  • “Retired hurt” is not a wicket; “retired out” is a wicket.
  • Advance fancy (opened before the toss) is suspended before the toss or when weather threatens play.
  • If a line is suspended by a technical fault and does not reopen, bets already matched stand and are settled on the result.
  • If a wrong rate or line was offered, the bets struck at it are void.

Shortened matches (the 80% rule)

  • In limited-overs cricket, if weather reduces a match to less than 80% of its overs (T20: 16 overs, ODI: 40 overs, The Hundred: 80 balls, T10: 8 overs), advance fancy bets are void.
  • If at least 80% of the overs are played, advance player and partnership markets stand. Session and innings-runs markets affected by the reduction are void.
  • Match summary markets (total fours, sixes, wickets, extras and similar) need 80% of the overs in both innings; otherwise they are void.

Sessions and innings runs

  • A session is settled when its over is completed. If the batting side is bowled out or the target is reached earlier, the session counts as complete and settles on the final score.
  • Advance sessions are for the first innings only. Example: in a T20, the 15-over session settles on the final score if the batting side is all out in the 13th over.
  • Innings-runs markets need the full innings (20 overs in a T20, 50 in an ODI) unless the side is bowled out; if overs are reduced by weather the market is void.
  • Test matches: each day has three sessions (start to lunch, lunch to tea, tea to close). The first two need at least 25 overs, otherwise they are void. Test innings-runs markets need 70 overs or an all-out or declaration.
  • Total match runs: both innings combined; void if either innings is reduced by weather unless the side is bowled out.

Player runs and partnerships

  • Player markets are settled on the runs the player actually scores. If a batter retires hurt and does not return, their score at retirement is the result.
  • Opening-batter markets are void for a player who does not open the innings.
  • Concussion substitutes: bets on the replaced player are settled on the runs that player scored.
  • A partnership continues with the next batter if one partner retires hurt.
  • Player and partnership markets need the player to face at least one legal delivery, otherwise they are void.

Odd / Even

  • Settled on whether the runs for the stated session or player are odd or even.
  • A session completed early by an all-out or a successful chase counts as complete. An incomplete session is void.
  • Player odd/even markets need at least one legal delivery faced.

Meter markets

  • Meter markets are YES / NO lines like sessions, settled on the result.
  • If a meter market cannot be completed (match abandoned or reduced below 80% of the overs) it settles on the mid-point of its last line. Example: last line 75 / 77 → result 76. For a one-run gap such as 53 / 54, the higher figure (54) is used.

Specials (YES / NO propositions)

  • Lunch favourite: the team that is favourite in Match Odds at the innings break. If overs are reduced, the favourite after the reduced first innings; if a target is set directly after rain, the favourite once the target is set. A tie voids the market.
  • First-innings lead (Tests): YES if the named team leads after both first innings; if the scores are level both lead markets settle as NO.
  • Top batter and player of the match need 80% of the overs to be played; bets on a player who is not in the playing XI or does not face a ball are void.
  • Fifty / hundred by a batter: void if the match is abandoned, overs are reduced or the batter does not face a legal ball.
  • First wicket caught: YES only for a catch. Any other dismissal settles NO; a retired-hurt batter does not end the market.
  • Next batter out: YES if the named batter is out next (retired out counts); if the named batter retires hurt, the market is void.

Last-digit games (Lambi)

  • Settled on the last digit of the stated score or scores. Example: 6-over score 47 → single last-digit result 7. 6-over and 10-over scores 45 and 83 → double-digit result 53.
  • A session completed early by an all-out or a chase counts as complete. If the match is abandoned before the stated score is complete, that game is void.
Part 04

Football

  • All match markets are settled on the score at the end of normal time, including stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count unless the market says so.
  • If a match does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled kick-off, bets are void. Kick-off times moved well in advance for television or fixture reasons are not postponements.
  • If a match starts but is abandoned, bets are void unless the market’s result was already decided (for example Over 1.5 goals when two goals had been scored).
  • A walkover or forfeit before kick-off voids all bets; an awarded score does not count.
  • VAR: if a goal is disallowed after review, bets struck between the goal and the end of the review are void. If a red card is overturned, bets struck after the review began are void.
  • Own goals count for the team credited with the goal. Draw No Bet is void if the match is drawn.
  • Goals odd/even: 0–0 settles as even. Handicap markets add the stated goals to the team’s final score before settling.
Part 05

Tennis

  • Match odds: if a player retires or is disqualified before the first set is completed, match bets are void. After the first set is completed, the player who progresses is the winner.
  • Game and set markets need the game or set to be completed, unless the result is already decided. Tie-break points do not count in game markets.
  • Games over/under in an unfinished set: settled where any natural finish would decide it, otherwise void. Example: set stopped at 4–4: Over 9.5 wins, Under 9.5 loses, 10.5 is void.
  • If a market is suspended by a technical fault and does not reopen, bets already matched stand and settle on the result.
Part 06

Other sports

Basketball

  • Match odds include overtime. If a game is stopped, bets stand only if 5 minutes or less of scheduled time remained.
  • Quarter and half markets need that period to be completed, unless already decided.

Volleyball, beach volleyball, badminton, table tennis

  • The match must be completed; otherwise match bets are void.
  • Set markets need the set completed, unless already decided. A change of named player before the start voids the bets.

Ice hockey

  • Match odds include overtime and shoot-outs; the game must be completed. Period markets need the period completed.

Handball and futsal

  • Match bets are void if the match is not completed. Settled on regulation time; overtime does not count.

Snooker

  • If a match starts but is not completed, the player who progresses is the winner. If it never starts, bets are void. A frame awarded without a shot being played is void.

Esports

  • Settled on the official result from the tournament organiser. If a match starts but is not completed, bets are void.

Kabaddi

  • Settled on the result after the two 20-minute halves. Player markets need the player to take part; an injured player’s bets stand.

Motor sport

  • Settled on the official classification at the podium ceremony. A race postponed but completed within 72 hours stands.

Wrestling (virtual)

  • Virtual bouts are settled on the outcome produced by the game. Winning methods are pinfall, submission and ring-out. If an event is suspended by a technical fault and does not resume, its bets are void.

Politics

  • Settled on the final result declared by the official election authority. If the election does not take place in the stated period, bets are void. Candidates who withdraw stay in the market and are settled under these rules.
Part 07

Horse and greyhound racing

Results

  • Race markets are settled on the official result at the weigh-in (or its equivalent). Later disqualifications or appeals do not change settlement.
  • If a race is abandoned, declared void, run on a different day or moved to another venue, all its bets are void. A change of surface does not affect bets.
  • Bets are on the named runner; saddle-cloth numbers are a guide only.

Non-runners

A runner that is withdrawn after the market opens is a non-runner. It is shown as “Non-runner” and can no longer be bet on.

  • All bets on the non-runner are void.
  • Each runner carries a reduction factor — its estimated chance of winning, in per cent. When a runner is withdrawn, bets already matched on the others are reduced by the non-runner’s factor, because the remaining runners’ chances have improved.
  • Win markets: the matched price is reduced by the factor, but only if the factor is 2.5% or more. Example: price 8.0, factor 25% → 6.0.
  • Place markets (Top 2 / 3 / 4 finish): the winnings are reduced by the factor, whatever its size. Example: price 8.0, factor 25% → winnings 7.0 × 0.75 = 5.25, so the price becomes 6.25.
  • Reductions only apply to bets struck before the withdrawal, and never to bets struck in-play. Several non-runners are applied one after another. A price is never reduced below 1.01.
  • The reduced price is the one your bet is settled at.
Part 08

Corrections and disputes

  • If we void a single bet under these rules (wrong price, struck after the result, illegitimate), the reason is recorded on the bet and in your transaction history, and your balance is adjusted at once.
  • Where these rules do not cover a situation, or a situation is unclear, the decision of AuraBet management is final and is made in line with the spirit of these rules and the official result.
  • Questions: contact Support within 7 days of the event, quoting the bet.
